Or even better, 9.2 area is more like Cataclysm levelling zones and designed around flying so it is unlock right away. If 9.2 brings new areas like 7.2 and 8.2 did, then I'm ok with Pathfinder part three locking us to the ground in the new area until we have completed some of that content, while still being able to fly in the 9.0 and 9.1 zones. Part two comes with 9.1 with some small requirements from that patch's new content, then we take to the skies. Part one releases with 9.0 as it did with BfA, let us get to work on it. For Shadowlands, I would like to see a change to the Pathfinder system. By the time 7.1 and 8.1 came around, I had thoroughly explored and interacted with the outdoor content. What I don't like is waiting two major patches to fly. I like the Pathfinder achievement idea for unlocking flying, you essentially have to prove some sort of commitment to or experience with the content, show that you have done all that ground work before you get to skip over all of it in the air. Also War Mode changes completely when flying becomes unlocked. While I agree with Blizzard that exploring new content with ground mounts is better for immersion, danger, and exploration. We unlocked flying in patch 7.2 and 8.2, so we can assume they would be aiming for 9.2 in Shadowlands. So during the Q&A panel at Blizzcon it was confirmed that they want to follow the Pathfinder system from Legion/BfA for Shadowlands.
